Masfoot Hospital in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, is inviting applications for a skilled and detail-oriented CSSD Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety through the meticulous cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment.

Role Overview

The CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and safe distribution of surgical instruments and medical tools. You will work closely with surgical and nursing teams to ensure all instruments meet strict healthcare protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate reusable surgical instruments following approved hospital guidelines.
• Assemble and prepare surgical trays with precision and accuracy.
• Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and other systems.
• Inspect tools to confirm cleanliness, proper function, and readiness for use.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records, load tracking, and inventory control.
• Store and distribute sterile instruments to clinical departments in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and hospital procedures.
• Collaborate with medical teams to ensure readiness for surgical procedures.
• Participate in staff training, audits, and quality assurance programs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or certification in Sterile Processing / CSSD.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital CSSD.
• Valid professional certification.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control measures.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
