🚗 Design Engineer – Moulds (Automotive Industry, Dubai – UAE)


Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Industry: Automotive / Automobile / Auto Accessories

Position: Design Engineer – Moulds

Experience Required: 2 – 8 years

Education: Bachelor of Technology / Engineering (Mechanical)

Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Salary Range: AED 4,000 – 5,000 (USD $1,081 – $1,351)

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a talented Design Engineer – Moulds to join a leading automotive company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in designing thermoforming and GRP parts, ensuring precision and innovation in vehicle production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop thermoforming and GRP parts and molds for vehicle manufacturing.
  • Review designs prepared by the Design Engineering team to ensure suitability for molding or forming, and recommend modifications where needed.
  • Create detailed designs of machining blocks and release accurate 2D and 3D data for manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Manufacturing, Mounting) to validate parts for integration into vehicles.
  • Utilize advanced technologies such as 3D scanners and 3D printing for rapid prototyping.
  • Support the Engineering Manager and Director with additional design-related tasks.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant engineering or automotive design role.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD design software (AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.).
  • Strong background in mould design, thermoforming, GRP, and automotive component engineering.
