Network Engineer – Reference Number: 331 | Location: Al Ain

Are you a highly skilled IT professional with a passion for creating secure, high-performance networks? A reputable organization in Al Ain is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust computer network systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and protection for the company’s digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation: Plan, install, and configure LAN, WAN, intranet, and internet systems, including Cisco network segments.
• Firewall & Security Management: Manage Next Generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet). Possessing PCNSE or NSE4 certification is highly desirable.
• Switching & Routing Expertise: Administer Extreme Networks EXOS Core and Edge switches (ECS or equivalent to CCNP preferred).
• Wireless Solutions: Oversee wireless networks, including Standalone, LWAP, Wing VX9000 controller, and Cisco WLC.
• Traffic Management & Protection: Configure F5 Load Balancers and AWAF to ensure optimal traffic distribution and advanced application protection.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Maximize network uptime through proactive monitoring, fault analysis, and resolution.
• System Upgrades & Documentation: Keep network equipment updated, maintain HLD and LLD documentation, and manage access control systems.
• CCTV & Telephony: Ensure operational CCTV systems and Avaya IP Telephony remain fully functional.
• Video Conferencing Solutions: Administer Cisco Telepresence with up-to-date firmware.
• Technical Support: Resolve escalated issues from the end-user support team within SLA targets.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Telecommunications.
• Optional but valuable certifications: ITIL, Cisco (CCNET, CCNA, CCNP), Extreme Networks ECS.

Skills & Experience:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
