👨💼 Role Overview
As an Engineering Standards Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming dnata’s Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations and sustainability initiatives. With your deep knowledge of the GSE and EV (Electric Vehicle) industry, you will oversee groundbreaking projects that improve fleet performance, integrate eco-friendly solutions, and reshape the future of airport ground services.
Your role is pivotal in ensuring the successful rollout of large-scale electric fleet deployment, compliance with global safety standards, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical trials and evaluations for new GSE and systems
- Drive strategic projects aimed at efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimization
- Develop and support dnata’s eco-conscious GSE fleet strategy
- Conduct performance analysis and recommend engineering solutions
- Manage vendor relationships, warranties, technical reviews, and tenders
- Supervise the Engineering & Standards team and deliver performance reviews
- Ensure smooth project execution: from design and commissioning to training and delivery
- Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative standards
- Spearhead technical investigations and implement CAPAs
- Monitor asset performance to reduce downtime and maximize safety
🎓 Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance within GSE, automotive, or manufacturing sectors
- Advanced knowledge in EV fleet management, technical analysis, and sustainability practices
- Strong communication, team leadership, and customer relationship skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and project planning familiarity with supply chain systems, PLCs, and cargo control
- Valid UAE driving license
